The Miki Berenyi Trio (MB3) announces their debut album, Tripla, set for release on April 4 via Bella Union, now available for preorder. Featuring Miki Berenyi, KJ “Moose” McKillop, and Oliver Cherer, the album marks a fresh chapter with its lush, layered dream-pop sound blending guitars, electronica, and Miki’s signature vocals. The title, Tripla—Hungarian for “triple”—reflects the trio’s collaborative approach.

Accompanying the announcement is the video for their lead single, “8th Deadly Sin,” directed by Sébastien Faits-Divers. Combining live footage with artwork by Chris Bigg, the track merges shoegaze dynamics with dance-inspired energy, featuring Moose’s eco-conscious lyrics addressing humanity’s disregard for the planet. Miki comments, “It’s about humanity hurtling toward destruction, whether through environmental neglect, wars, or social intolerance.”

Tripla is mixed by Paul Gregory (Lanterns On The Lake) and features stunning artwork by Chris Bigg, incorporating Martin Andersen’s photography. Despite the album’s sophisticated sound, the band embraced a grassroots approach, recording at home and managing their own gear on tour. “We’re focused on enjoying the process and connecting with listeners,” says Miki.

MB3 will perform across the UK for Independent Venue Week, followed by Rough Trade instore shows in April and a European tour in April and May. Full tour dates are available here. Watch the “8th Deadly Sin” video now.
