Global superstar The Weeknd has officially released Hurry Up Tomorrow via XO/Republic Records, marking the final chapter in his acclaimed trilogy following After Hours (2020) and Dawn FM (2022). The album arrives after a record-breaking 2024, during which he became the first artist to have 27 songs surpass 1 billion streams on Spotify.

Originally set for a January 24 release with a special Rose Bowl concert, Hurry Up Tomorrow was postponed due to the Palisades and Eaton Fires. In response, The Weeknd canceled the concert and donated $1 million to wildfire relief efforts. Proceeds from the track “Take Me Back To LA” will benefit the LA Regional Food Bank.

To celebrate the release, The Weeknd performed a unique rendition of “Open Hearts” on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and announced the Hurry Up Tomorrow Pop-Up Experience in NYC (Jan. 31–Feb. 2) in partnership with Spotify. The event will feature an immersive art installation and exclusive merchandise, including leather jackets, fleece, and limited-edition vinyl. Hot Topic will also host a special Hurry Up Tomorrow collection in stores and online, with a Las Vegas Takeover event offering exclusive The Weeknd x Frank Miller apparel.

The album’s anticipation peaked with a sold-out stadium concert in São Paulo, streamed globally on YouTube with surprise appearances from Playboi Carti and Anitta. The performance trended in 24 countries, and the teased track “Timeless” debuted in the Billboard Hot 100 Top 3.

In addition to the album, The Weeknd will star alongside Jenna Ortega and Barry Keoghan in a psychological thriller inspired by Hurry Up Tomorrow, directed by Trey Edward Shults for Lionsgate. The film, featuring new music from The Weeknd and Daniel Lopatin, premieres May 16, 2025. Check out the tracklist and the album below:
