spill tab (Claire Chicha) unveils another glimpse of her debut album with “Assis,” a soulful fusion of earthy funk grooves and bilingual lyricism, accompanied by a Sweetiepie-directed video—LISTEN/WATCH now (below). Produced by John Hill (FKA Twigs, Charli XCX) and Solomonophic (SZA, Remi Wolf), the track highlights her rich songwriting and sets the stage for ANGIE, out May 16 via Because Music.

Chicha describes “Assis” as a blend of ‘50s Italian film scores and psychedelic rock, capturing the ache of watching a loved one drift away. The album itself is a vibrant mix of influences, from the glitchy punch of “PINK LEMONADE” to the grungy French-language “De Guerre” and the soaring guitar solos of the title track.

Ahead of its release, spill tab will support Perfume Genius at ICA London on March 27 before embarking on a UK & European headline tour in May and June, with stops at Oslo (London) and The Deaf Institute (Manchester). Full dates below.
