V**gra Boys Get Weird and Wonderful With “The Bog Body”

Stockholm’s chaotic post-punk provocateurs V**gra Boys return with “The Bog Body,” a gloriously grimy standout from their upcoming album v**gr aboys, out April 25 via their new label Shrimptech Enterprises. The track hits like vintage rock dragged through swamp water—saxophones wail, synths melt at the edges, and Sebastian Murphy howls about ancient corpses and jealous lovers in equal measure.

The Eoin Glaister–directed video is pure V**gra Boys madness: a zombie romance blooms between Murphy and a reanimated bog body, ending in absurd doom. It’s grotesque, hilarious, and weirdly touching—exactly what you’d expect from a band known for visuals as wild as their sound.

Following singles “Uno II” and “Man Made of Meat,” “The Bog Body” further cements the band’s genius for collapsing the high and low, myth and trash, art and nonsense. With help from longtime producer Pelle Gunnerfeldt, the new album finds Murphy turning the lens inward after the politically charged Cave World. This time, the satire hits closer to home—and it’s funnier, grosser, and sharper than ever.

With their Infinite Anxiety Tour kicking off at Coachella and a massive run through Europe and North America, V**gra Boys are ready to burn it all down again. Long live the Bog Lady.
