Valley Boy, Happy All The Time, Children of Divorce, new single, debut album, indie pop, sad pop, singer songwriter, live session, emotional anthem, kids of divorce, breakup songs, new music 2025, Laurel tour, Jimmy Regular, live video, San Fernando Valley, pop with depth, personal storytelling, raw vocals

Valley Boy is not here for surface-level pop. Today, the San Fernando Valley-born singer/songwriter drops his biting new single “Happy All The Time”—a sarcastic, soul-baring anthem and the first glimpse into his upcoming debut album, Children of Divorce, arriving later this year.

The track captures the emotional tug-of-war so many “kids of divorce” know all too well: putting on a brave face while silently unraveling. “One thing you should know about children of divorce is that we’re happy all the time,” Valley Boy quips, leaning into the bittersweet contradiction with a wink and a wince.

The single arrives alongside a stunning live video shot in an abandoned auto-body shop, where his raw vocals fill the cavernous space like heartbreak on reverb. Directed by Jimmy Regular, it’s proof that Valley Boy live hits different—stripped, searing, and undeniably real.

You may know him as the songwriting force behind hits for Dua Lipa, Sabrina Carpenter, Troye Sivan, and JENNIE, but Children of Divorce is where Valley Boy steps fully into his own story. It’s his creative reckoning—a collection of vivid memories, jagged truths, and beautifully uncomfortable honesty.

Catch Valley Boy on tour this spring supporting LAUREL across the U.S. and Canada, and later in May with Chezile.
