Two of New York’s most compelling experimental acts, Chanel Beads and LEYA, join forces on a beautifully strange new single: “Corners – Chanel Beads Rework”, out now alongside a hazy, evocative music video starring model Mariah Morvant. The track, a reimagining of LEYA’s original from their 2024 I Forget Everything EP, sees Chanel Beads’ Shane Lavers weaving glitchy textures, ghostly violin from Zachary Paul, and shared vocals with collaborator Maya McGrory into a soundscape that feels suspended between dream and memory.

“This song is about that eerie space before and after a LEYA performance,” Lavers says. “That sense of anticipation, and the quiet reflection after something intense has happened.”

The rework bridges two distinct creative visions—LEYA’s haunting medieval dream-pop and Chanel Beads’ fractured art-pop collage—into something intimate, theatrical, and totally immersive. It’s an ideal teaser for both artists’ current touring and recent acclaimed releases.

Chanel Beads’ debut album Your Day Will Come (Jagjaguwar) has made waves for its lo-fi textures, intimate vocals, and poetic fragmentation of modern life, earning praise from Pitchfork, The FADER, and The Line of Best Fit. Meanwhile, LEYA’s I Forget Everything (NNA Tapes) continues their mission of dissolving genre boundaries with harp, violin, and voice—all bent into forms both ethereal and unsettling.

Both artists are currently on the road, with Chanel Beads playing festivals and headlining dates across Europe and the U.S., and LEYA launching an epic 40+ date tour across North America and Europe, with support from Circuit des Yeux, Deli Girls, Vanessa Bedoret, and more.
