quickly, quickly, I Heard That Noise, Ghostly International, Graham Jonson, Psych‑Pop 2025, Portland indie, Kenton Sound, Enything single, Take It From Me single, Raven single, Julia Logue, Phil Elverum influence, Nick Drake influence, Moses Sumney producer, Kid LAROI producer, experimental folk, noise rock fusion

Graham Jonson’s psych‑pop project quickly, quickly sheds its SoundCloud roots on I Heard That Noise, out now via Ghostly International. This kaleidoscopic debut melds knotty folk melodies, warped studio tricks, and sudden bursts of distortion—an album born from breakups, haunted childhood memories, and the industrial hum of his Portland basement, known affectionately as the “Kenton Sound.”

Standout singles “Enything,” “Take It From Me,” and “Raven” showcase Jonson’s fearless range: stomping rhythms give way to plaintive acoustic strums, only to be shattered by metal‑level chord jolts. Inspired by Phil Elverum’s haunting landscapes, Dijon’s raw honesty, and Nick Drake’s timeless folk, he builds each song around space and surprise—using delay and dissonance like cinematic “jump scares.”

With backing vocals from Julia Logue and interludes that shift from ambient wobble to full-throttle stomp, I Heard That Noise feels both hi‑fi and homespun. Moments of sweet piano in “I Punched Through a Wall” collapse into power‑chord catharsis, while the title track morphs from abrasive racket into a tender ballad about memory and surrender.

After producing for Moses Sumney and Kid LAROI—plus selling out his live‑debut shows—Jonson cements himself as a boundary‑shattering songwriter and visionary producer.

Catch quickly, quickly live tonight at Music Millennium in Portland at 6PM PT, and see below for more dates as his sonic saga unfolds.
