Indie rock veterans Real Estate have just dropped The Wee Small Hours: B-Sides and Other Detritus 2011–2025, a treasure trove of rarities, covers, and forgotten gems from their 14-year run with Domino Recording Co. Spanning from early 7” singles to previously unreleased deep cuts, the compilation feels both archival and refreshingly new.
Anchored by the lush, breezy new track “Pink Sky”—recorded in Oakland during a one-day session that also birthed their Elton John cover “Daniel”—the album dips into covers of The Strokes, The Nerves, and Television, and includes long-lost b-sides like “In My Car” and “Two Part.” The title nods to a scrapped Atlas session track, itself a tribute to Sinatra’s classic In the Wee Small Hours.
As frontman Martin Courtney puts it, “This feels like a worthy addition to the catalog—and we hope you all love it.”
The Wee Small Hours is out now on vinyl, CD, and digital. Dive in and discover the Real Estate between the albums.
