Brutus VIII, the raw and relentless project of Jackson Katz (Slow Hollows, Current Joys), has returned with a new single, “My Eating Disorder,” and news of a new EP, Do It For The Money, dropping July 11 via American Death. A blistering dive into body image and shame, the track blends industrial-leaning EBM with Katz’s signature vulnerability and biting satire.

Katz, known for his electrifying live shows and recent tour with Model/Actriz, describes the EP as “Randy Newman on amphetamines”—a fever dream of punk, baile funk, and existential dread. With topics spanning eating disorders, neo-Nazism, and suicidal thoughts, the EP pushes further into the chaos first explored on last year’s Pure Gluttony.

Listen to “My Eating Disorder” now and read Katz’s full interview with Paste for insight into one of NYC’s most unpredictable and daring voices in music.
