    Brooklyn’s rising underground sensation Swordes unleashes “Boyfriend La La La”—a sugar-coated club banger dripping in manic energy and glitch-pop chaos. It’s twisted, it’s theatrical, it’s dangerously catchy. Swordes leans into the character of a “crazy girlfriend,” chanting hypnotic hooks over cartoonish 808s and pulsing basslines. It’s the first taste of her self-produced debut album due later this year—a bold fusion of alt-pop vocals and ’90s dancefloor nostalgia.

    Born in Honolulu and forged in Brooklyn’s rave scene, Swordes has been turning heads with her computer-free live sets full of synths, drum machines, and operatic vocals.
