White Denim and Plantoid have teamed up for a fiery tribute to The Pretenders, releasing a surprise double A-side that reimagines two iconic tracks with bold, modern flair. The result? A transatlantic rock revival that honors the past while injecting a surge of fresh energy.

After bonding on tour this spring, the bands decided to collaborate by covering one Pretenders song each—White Denim taking on the brooding “Time The Avenger” with Plantoid’s Chloe Spence on vocals, and Plantoid firing through a searing “Tattooed Love Boys,” elevated by James Petralli’s swaggering guest turn.

Both tracks are love letters to Chrissie Hynde’s raw lyricism and fearless arrangements—translated through White Denim’s razor-sharp chops and Plantoid’s punky, futuristic edge. The chemistry between the bands is palpable, and each cover pulses with mutual respect and a shared love for rock ‘n’ roll’s unsung intricacies.

These aren’t just covers—they’re reinventions, and they’re a total blast to experience.
