The wait is over. Electronic dream-pop pioneers Purity Ring have announced their long-awaited self-titled fourth album, arriving September 26 via the fellowship — their most immersive and fantastical record yet. Pre-save and preorder now.
To mark the announcement, the duo released the euphoric new single “place of my own” — a glimmering trance-pop anthem about searching for belonging in a vanishing world. It’s lush, haunting, and unmistakably Purity Ring: “All I want is a place of my own / Some way to be alone,” sings Megan James over Corin Roddick’s blissed-out synthscape.
Alongside the album, Purity Ring will embark on a 23-date North American headline tour this fall, including major stops in NYC, LA, and Chicago. Tickets go on sale Thursday, July 17 at 10AM local via Seated.
The self-titled LP dives deep into a new world inspired by RPGs like Nier Automata and Final Fantasy X, telling the story of two dreamers forging hope amid ruins. It’s Purity Ring at their most cinematic — a sonic spell for those building a kinder world.
