Public Circuit Unearth Haunting Electro-Pop on New Single “To The Grave”

NYC’s brooding electronic post-punk outfit Public Circuit return with “To The Grave”, a shimmering, emotionally raw cut from their upcoming sophomore LP Modern Church, out September 12 via à La Carte Records – stream it here.

Built on a foundation of melancholic synths and jagged textures, “To The Grave” grapples with the ghosts we carry: repressed trauma, failed relationships, unspoken truths. “Many people live a life where they never fully resolve things… and take it to the grave,” the band shares.

The song’s visceral emotion is matched by its equally eerie video – watch here – featuring the band digging their own graves in a glitched-out Medieval fever dream.

Modern Church was first teased with “Samson”, an aggressive indictment of fragile masculinity that earned praise from Notion, Soundvsystem, and Hard of Hearing.

Public Circuit will support the album with a sprawling US + EU tour this fall, including appearances at 8mm Festival (Berlin) and Left Of The Dial (Rotterdam). Listen below:
