Australia’s The Belair Lip Bombs Announce Again, Out October 31 on Third Man Records, Share Lead Single “Hey You”
Australia’s The Belair Lip Bombs are set to release their sophomore album, Again, on October 31 via Third Man Records — marking the label’s first-ever Australian release. Following their acclaimed 2023 debut Lush Life (“punchy, hook-laden… borderline unassailable” – The Guardian), the new record reintroduces the band’s irresistible “yearn-core” power-pop to the world.
Formed eight years ago in Frankston’s DIY scene, Maisie Everett, Mike Bradvica, Jimmy Droughton, and Daniel “Dev” Devlin honed their sound opening for acts like Ladyhawke and Spacey Jane, drawing inspiration from The Rolling Stones, Television, and The War on Drugs. Produced with Nao Anzai (The Teskey Brothers) and Joe White (Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever), Again polishes their DIY indie-rock with 10 no-skip anthems.
Lead single “Hey You” bursts with looping synths, dance-inducing energy, and Maisie’s soaring vocals — a first for the band. “We pushed to make the scope of the song bigger than some of the others on the album,” says Dev. The Angus Fielder-directed video captures that expansive spirit.
