🎸 Mac DeMarco Drops New Single “Phantom” + New Album Guitar Out Friday

Mac DeMarco has released “Phantom,” the final preview from his forthcoming album Guitar, arriving this Friday via Mac’s Record Label. Following the singles “Holy” and “Home,” “Phantom” is a tender, stripped-down ballad of longing and memory. The New Yorker has already hailed Guitar as “stunning and deeply idiosyncratic… some of his most intimate and sophisticated songwriting.”

Recorded entirely at home in Los Angeles in November 2024, Guitar is Mac at his most personal—handling every aspect of the record himself, from writing to mixing. “I think Guitar is as close to a true representation of where I’m at in my life today as I can manage to put to paper,” Mac shares.

The album’s release coincides with the launch of Mac’s world tour later this month, beginning with three sold-out shows at The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles. Mock Media, Tex Crick, Daryl Johns, and Vicky Farewell will support across various dates.
