Das Kope stands against a surreal neon backdrop surrounded by shifting kaleidoscopic colors, echoing the psychedelic textures of his new album Brutamonte.

Los Angeles-based psych-pop visionary Das Kope has announced his long-awaited sophomore album Brutamonte, arriving November 7. Written, performed, and produced entirely by Kope himself, the record expands his kaleidoscopic sonic world — merging psychedelia, krautrock, bossa nova, and post-punk into a vivid, hallucinatory experience.

Fans can now stream five tracks from the upcoming LP — “Moon In Daylight,” “Wood House,” “Melting Away,” “We Must Be Out Of Our Minds,” and “Laying Low.” Together they preview an album that glows with both surreal imagination and emotional gravity.

“I’m excited and relieved to finally share this album with the world,” says Kope. “It’s been a long, solitary process of experimentation and reflection, but I feel it captures exactly where I am right now.”

Born in Brazil and now based in Los Angeles, Das Kope has built a reputation for doing it all himself — from recording every note to creating the animated visuals that accompany each track. His debut LP Where I Live (2020) established his sound — “The Beach Boys trapped in a Black Mirror episode” — and has since amassed over 23 million streams worldwide.

After extensive North American touring in 2022 and 2023, Kope withdrew to his home studio for a year of complete creative immersion. Surrounded by guitar pedals, cassette decks, and dusty Casios, he crafted Brutamonte as a colorful yet introspective escape, one that blurs the boundaries between analog nostalgia and digital surrealism.

The upcoming LP promises a world of its own — lush with warped harmonies, hypnotic grooves, and the dream logic that defines Kope’s visual and sonic identity. To complement the release, Kope has created original artwork and animations for every track, continuing his mission to make Brutamonte a truly multimedia experience. A 2026 U.S. tour is also in the works.
