    Oh Wonder

    “Ultralife”

    Ultralife

There is a refreshing innocence to Oh Wonder that is really catching.  London-based Josephine Vander Gucht and Anthony West never really wanted to be a “band”, but last year, they were putting songs out one every month that they later released as Oh Wonder EP.  They released they had something, and so they are releasing this beautiful alt pop album.  “Ultralife”  reminds me of “Pleasant Valley Sunday” as done by Blur.  Fascinating and beautiful, the song never judges, just presents.  I love this band.  Their harmonies remind me of She and Him, but with a more modern, alternative sound.  No wonder Oh Wonder is taking the internet by storm.  They are that great.
