The notorious band, High Waisted, from NYC (of course), have a new single out, “Free Throw”/”Firebomb”. These sound like a departure from their general surf style, but that surf/punk/pop sound is still there. The new music is much more self-assured, which is ironic, since “Free Throw” is concerned with the fear of failure. Fear not, High Waisted; this is great rock n roll. Consisting of Jessica Louise Dye – vox / guitar, Jono – drums,
Richey – bass, and Steven – guitar / vox, High Waisted is high energy punk pop reminiscent of Garbage and Juliana Hatfield. This is great music. Love this band so much.
