Duet Of The Year: Better Oblivion Community Center – “Dylan Thomas”

    “Dylan Thomas”

And I thought that boygenius and Kurt Vile and Courtney Barnett were great combos (and they certainly were two of the best), and therefore nothing would ever come close, well, along comes Better Oblivion Community Center, the new collaboration from the king and queen of sad, Conor Oberst and Phoebe Bridgers.  This is an amazingly beautiful combination, especially on the song “Dylan Thomas”.  Oberst’ voice combines so well with Bridgers, and together, they make a great song that Dylan Thomas himself would be proud of.  The indie scene is so strong with the best singer/songwriters out there, so it’s wonderful that egos are set aside and beauty can be born.  I am so excited for this year to see what other beauty is coming out.  But for now, I am more than content with Better Oblivion Community Center.
