Jeanines prove that short and sweet (or short and dark) is the way to go. Alicia Jeanine and Jed Smith have mastered the art of putting so much music into short songs, it truly is amazing. Whether it’s Jeanine’s sweet voice or Smith’s pounding bass and drums, Jeanines just grab you. This is one of my favorite new bands. Imagine The Ramones playing Motown (gosh, Joey would have loved that), or Blondie sped up, and you get the Jeanines. Listening to them leaves you breathless.
