    “Sentimental Lady”

    Scarred For Life

    Medicine is back, and they have decided to release an album of covers using that wonderful shoegaze sound to create new masterpieces.  And there choices are all over the map, from The Mothers of Invention “Absolutely Free” (which has always been my favorite Zappa song) to Bob Welch’s “Sentimental Lady”, which they transfer into a sparkling rendition representing the best of the shoegaze sound, that layered, other-worldly music.  Medicine is comprised of Jim Goodall – drums;
Brad Laner – guitars, bass, vocals, keyboards, percussion;
Annette Zilinskas – vocals and harmonica
; Matt Devine – guitar and vocals; and
    Solo Goodspeed – keyboards and chapman stick on ‘Absolutely Free’.  This might be one of my favorite albums this year.  Listen to just how amazingly perfect Medicine has made these covers their own.
