    Metallica, master of puppets
Metallica’s Master of Puppets is one of the most influential heavy metal albums of all time, and it was written by James Hetfield and Lars while living in San Francisco.

The song’s meaning is pretty straightforward: it’s about how drug addiction can take over a person’s life, even if they try to fight it. The songwriting process was a collaborative effort between James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, and Cliff Burton. They recorded it in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Master of Puppets has had an enormous impact on listeners and other artists alike. It influenced a lot of metal bands who have become famous for their own unique sounds (such as Iron Maiden).

“Master of Puppets” is a song by Metallica, released in 1986 on their album of the same name. The track was written by James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich and produced by Flemming Rasmussen. It was recorded at Sweet Silence Studios in Copenhagen, Denmark.

The song’s lyrics are about drug addiction and loss of control to an outside influence (the “puppet master”). The subject matter is dark but the music has an upbeat tempo and rhythm that makes it sound more lighthearted than it is.

The song’s impact was felt immediately by metal bands around the world who were influenced by its mix of heavy riffs, fast tempos, and melodic choruses.

Master of Puppets is one of the most influential heavy metal albums of all time for good reason.
