Chappell Roan, the Grammy-winning, six-time-nominated pop powerhouse, is charging into 2025 with a bold new sound. Her highly anticipated single “The Giver”, out now via Amusement/Island Records, is a high-energy, fiddle-fueled country anthem that blends Roan’s signature theatrical flair with a twang-filled twist. It’s her first release since 2024’s “Good Luck Babe!”—a smash that went 4x platinum—and it marks an exhilarating new chapter in her ever-evolving artistry.

A stomping declaration of devotion and dominance, “The Giver” delivers an electrifying chorus:

“Cause you ain’t gotta tell me, it’s just in my nature, so take it like a taker, cause baby, I’m a giver; Ain’t no need to hurry, cause baby, I deliver; Ain’t no country boy quitter, I get the job done.”

With its roaring western instrumentation and full-throttle delivery, Roan embraces the unapologetic spirit of classic country while making it distinctly her own.

A Love Letter to Country with a Roan Twist

“I have such a special place in my heart for country music. I grew up with it on my school bus, at bonfires, grocery stores, and karaoke bars. People keep asking if I’m making a country album… My answer? Right now, I’m just making songs that make me feel happy and fun. The Giver is my take on ‘cuntry’ xoxo. May the classic country divas lead their genre—I’m just here to twirl and do a little gay yodel for y’all.”

    A Wild West Rollout

Roan didn’t just drop “The Giver”—she made sure it arrived with a bang. Five limited-edition 7-inch vinyls are hitting shelves, each featuring artwork of Roan embodying over-the-top service professions—a lawyer, dentist, plumber, and private investigator—playfully mirroring the larger-than-life billboards popping up in cities like Nashville, New York, and LA. The cryptic ads, teasing “Your Ex’s Worst Nightmare”, sparked a viral frenzy, with fans dialing 620-HOT-TO-GO, a hotline that led to sneak peeks of the track.

With “The Giver”, Roan proves once again that she’s an artist without boundaries—always reinventing, always delivering, and always, always having the most fun.
