Jack White once again flips expectations with the surprise drop of the official video for “Archbishop Harold Holmes” — and it’s a thunderous, theatrical ride. Anchored by an electrifying performance from John C. Reilly as the flamboyant, sermon-delivering Holmes, the video blends satire, soul, and spectacle into one unforgettable visual.

Directed by Gilbert Trejo, the clip transforms the track’s gospel-rock intensity into a surreal revivalist fever dream. Reilly, fresh off his own musical release as Mister Romantic, dives headfirst into the role with holy swagger and unhinged charisma. White reportedly gave Reilly and Trejo total creative control — and it paid off in spades.

Shot inside a real Los Angeles church, the video features a star-studded indie ensemble, with appearances from Sami Perez (Cherry Glazerr), Staz Lindes (The Paranoyds), Misha Lindes (SadGirl), and Arrow de Wilde (Starcrawler), each playing parishioners swept into Holmes’ hypnotic frenzy. It’s a playful, stylish commentary on ego and divinity — and it cements “Archbishop Harold Holmes” as a standout in White’s already staggering catalog.

The track is currently climbing the charts, hitting #2 on U.S. alternative radio — and with a video like this, it’s easy to see why. White isn’t just making music; he’s building mythologies.
