White Denim had no problem selling out the 1500 capacity Webster Hall venue this past Friday night and after witnessing their performance, we can see why. The band pummeled through an electrically charged set of songs from Corsicana Lemonade and of course some past gems.

Similar to Grateful Dead the band would start with one of their songs as it is on the record and then segue into a psychedelic jam session that could last for quite a few minutes. Singer/guitarist James Petralli belted out several familiar subjects to the audience including, love, dancing, life, heartbreak and drugs. The band remained tuned, tight and exhilarating all night.

There aren’t many bands that value the music creation process and playing so much these days but White Denim is one of them. If you get a chance to see this band, see them. They can show you what it’s like to be a real band. Check out the band performing “At Night In Dreams” below:

    Setlist:
    Pretty Green
    At the Farm
    Come Back
I’d Have It Just the Way We Were
    I Start to Run
    Regina Holding Hands
    At Night in Dreams
    Drug
    Bess St.
    Shake Shake Shake
    Corsicana Lemonade
    Street Joy
