From New York City, of course, comes The Benjees, a kick ass group that has it all. From punk to soul, The Benjees take all these music forms, throw them into a mixture of NYC sash, and released this great song. With a sound that is similar to Jack White (with the whine) and a nod to the Cramps (think of “Strychnine”) and other punkabilly bands, and with a huge shot of originality, and you get The Benjees. What can I say; I’m a huge fan of guitar oriented rock, and these guys rock out with the best of them. Their self-titled CD is due out this summer. I cannot wait. WOW!!!!!
