I love Americana, I love those songs that seem to have percolated out the swamps of Louisiana or from the deep hills and valleys of Virginia and Kentucky. Lanctot and his band typify that sound, that deep, earthy folk style reminding me of Dylan, Carter Family, and the Grand Ole Opry at their best. Lanctot is definitely a great songwriter. I can’t wait to hear more of his music.
