Melome’s passion for all types of music is evident in her Lock and Key EP; however, the Euro-Caribbean-American artist’s roots are in jazz, having had her grandfather Jimmy Woode record with such greats as Duke Ellington and Ella Fitzgerald. There is something sexy and shimmering in Melome’s voice, while she sings over some great, jazz beats with great, modern electronic. She reminds me of Sade. My body sways to the rhythms and her voice takes me to those cool heights
