    The Heavy Howl

    “Radio Show”

    New Mistake

The Heavy Howl is a stoner rock band from New York featuring Steve – vocals, guitar, Amanda – vocals, bass, Christine – vocals, theremin, tamborine, and Cyndie Lou – drums. The Heavy Howl is a wonderfully fun band.  These guys obviously love playing together.  The music is playful and jamming, and the touch of the theremin every now and then makes the band that much more interesting.  This is a great band. They have that great DIY sound to them.  Maybe the Pixies without the attitude.  Or Bonnie “Prince” Billy with a sense of humor.  They are the band you listen to and dance to at a crowded bar.  Though I’m writing about “Radio Show”, an extremely catchy tune, there is no doubt that the whole EP is worth listening to.  Give the guys a break; buy their EP.  It is definitely a super cool EP; a super cool band.  I want to party with them.  Guys, come to Pittsburgh.
