    Yeasayers

    “I Am Chemistry”

    Amen & Goodbye

What a great song.  What a great band.  Yeasayers is composed of Chris Keating, Ira Wolf Tuton and Anand Wilder.  In their strange, beautiful way, they have created new Biblical fables from another universe.  Yeasayers is amazingly complex.  They remind me of the musical version of Hieronymus Bosch’ Northern Renaissance nightmare pictures of Bible scenes.  Featuring guest vocals from the legendary folk singer Suzzy Roche of The Roches, ‘I Am Chemistry’ is a linear psychedelic journey proving Yeasayer still has the knack for writing very odd pop songs.  In that manner, they do remind me of ofMontreal, Neutral Milk Hotel, the Mountain Goats, or Brian Eno (esp. Taking Tiger Mountain (by Strategy)).  The album will be released April Fool’s Day, 2016, with a supporting tour to be announced.  I myself cannot wait.  Come to Pittsburgh, guys.
