    “Shut Up Kiss Me”

    My Woman

Angel Olsen has a new album set to drop in September.  The first single, “Shut Up Kiss Me”, is just a tremendous song.  I love Olsen.  She is one of those people who can make you glad to be sad.  Nobody since Frida Hyvonen can make sadness sound so beautiful.  Live she is even better.  There is something very real, very vulnerable about her and her music.  She is on tour this September, and she must be seen to be believed.  I will be at her show in Pittsburgh, I can promise you that.  Olsen is this angelic voice that pours her heart out.  She reminds me of Courtney Barnett and Torres, two other women taking the music scene by storm.  Similar to Bat For Lashes, Olsen is just so wonderful, very humble, very personal, very sad, very beautiful.  Thank you, Olsen, for opening up for us.
