What a great song. Nikki’s Wives is a Toronto-based trio led by Nikki Whitehead, who exudes effortless cool with sleek style and smoky vocals. With Dylan Lauzon on guitar and Nate Baylor on drums, Nikki’s Wives recently released their new EP, For E*V*E*R, over the summer. Whitehead has one of those voices that is tremendous, like she knows more than you do, but also, she wants you in on her secret. She is one of the coolest singers out there. She reminds me of Ricki Lee Jones, not her vocal style so much, but her attitude. Coolness.
