Every now and then you want balls to the walls country, like Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, or even Social Distortion. You have to hear Jesse Dayton. This ain’t none of your pop country; this is the real deal, Johnny Cash, true outlaw country. That is no surprise; Dayton has played with the best; Nelson, Jennings, Ray Price, you name. His tough, Americana country sound is extremely reminiscent of punk country, if that is a term. He’s going to be “brangin’ it” throughout the country this fall and winter. Check him when he comes to town.
