    “Liar Behind The Sun”

    Dreaming The Dream

What a great, eccentric band Small Feet is.  But that is what you get when you have the great songwriter from Stockholm, Simon Stålhamre, at the wheel.  After years of writing songs for himself and keeping tapes stored in a closet in his parents’ home, Stålhamre connected with ex-pat American Jacob Snavely and drummer Christopher Cantillo to form Small Feet.  The band recorded their debut From Far Enough Away Everything Sounds Like The Ocean (released in 2015) in a home studio located in one of a cluster of historically protected, 18th century cabins on Södermalm, an island in central Stockholm.  But, there was so much material left over, Stålhamre went back and worked some material to release the EP, Dreaming The Dream.  This while still planning on a full album early in 2017.  The output of Stålhamre reminds me of Marc Bolan or Robyn Hitchcock in originality, productivity, and plain super artistry.  Small Feet is a great band.  Stålhamre is one of the bright lights in the music galaxy.  I love them.
