Lorde is back, and with a vengeance. Her new single from her upcoming album, Melodrama, is a perfect example of her extreme talent. “Green Light” is poppy though still extremely sad and involved, while “Liability” is more vulnerable. Lorde is an amazing writer, wise beyond her years, a lot like the first records Laura Marling put out. She is definitely 21 going on 50 when it comes to maturity. I am so glad New Zealand decided to share Lorde with the world. Her talent is boundless, her beauty stunning, her voice amazing, and her lyrics draw you in. If you don’t love Lorde, really, there is something wrong with you. Strong women singers are exactly what we need at this time, and Lorde is definitely that. Rock on, Lorde, rock on.
