The Prids

“Elizabeth Ann”

I Look Like I’m In Love?

What a great song.  I love songs about women.  There is something so 60’s and so catchy about singing songs about women, and the Prids do it so well.  Their mix of the Velvet Underground and the new just blows my mind.  I love their dirty mix, their DIY attitude, their whole point of view (which is really shown up in this wonderful video).  The Prids, from the Northwest, are made up of bassist and vocalist Mistina La Fave, vocalist and guitarist David Frederickson, drummer Gordon Nickel and keyboardist and bassist Tim Yates.  This is the sound of the future with a nod to the past.  This is one of my new favorite bands.  It is the year of the Prids.  Hop on and take a ride.
