BANKS Is “Beggin For Thread” In New Single

BANKS has revealed her next single “Beggin For Thread” via a new lyric video that premiered today on VEVO (embed link below). Watch the lyric video HERE. It was created by graphic designer Kate Moross who also designed the songstress’ debut album cover for GODDESS (out September 9th on Harvest Records). Visually the video fittingly plays off of BANKS’ LP artwork, using a black and red color scheme and incorporates BANKS’ signature logo.

BANKS explains the meaning behind the new track saying,” ‘Beggin For Thread’ is about embracing your scratched edges. At times I feel crazy, but I wrote this song because sometimes I like that feeling.

In other news, BANKS has been named “2014’s Most Blogged Artist in the World” according to Hype Machine’s mid-year Zeitgeist. Hype Machine tracks 825 of the most interesting and influential music blogs around the globe. Pervious artists who have topped this mid-year chart was Disclosure in 2013 and Grimes in 2012. BBC Radio 6 produces a special 2-hour show dedicated to counting down the list and BANKS recently talked with Host Tom Robinson about her achievement. Listen to the interview here.
