Beauty and Power: AM:PM – “Nature Awakes/When Titans Fell”

AM:PM

“Nature Awakes/When Titans Fell”

A Mountain Peaks’ Myth

This is pure epic melodic death metal/deathcore from Switzerland.  AM:PM know when to be beautiful and when to be ass-kicking killer shit, which most bands have never figured out to do a balance.  The band is comprised of Nicolas Bise (Vocals), Marjan Stankovic (Guitar), Maxime Chiaradia (Guitar), Thomas Gurtner (Bass / Back Vocals), and Dylan Watson, (Drums).  This band, releases only their second album this October, is so tremendous.  Years of touring have created a bond that is so evident, and Bise’s voice is going to fucking blow you away.  If you like As I Lay Dying, you will love these guys.  As I said, the balance of the beautiful and the heavy make AM:PM stand out from the crowd.

Above the mist where trees fail to grow

A frozen lake, in the morning snow

Lost between the devil’s peaks

Thousands of rocks sunk in the ground Back when ghosts still roamed this land Two beings born from the stone Summoned to shape mountains

So that men could habit them

One of them was driven by anger

Whilst the other played by the rules

After years of endless war

Our lands changed forever

When Titans fell they destroyed this land This colossal collapse shaped this place

We are so small, forced to watch

Nothing we can do will change a thing

But as for every disaster

There’s always hope,

This deadly landslide turned into a lake And through this lake nature awakes

A noise so loud

Rung in miles

An earthquake so strong

No one could stand

If you’re not dead yet

You’ll be deaf for sure

The titans are unstoppable

Earth shakes and mountains fall as the golems fight for their lives

Earth shake and mountains fall as the war rages loud as a storm.

Clouds of  dust covers the sky

No sun, no light, just mud and dust

A noise so loud

Rung in miles

An earthquake so strong

No one could stand

If you’re not dead yet

You’ll be deaf for sure

The titans are unstoppable

As one of the titans fall, the cliff falls with him

There is nothing left but an ocean of trees and stones

Men, trees, mounts, and vales are just a sea of stone

Above the mist where trees fail to grow

A frozen lake, in the morning snow

Lost between the devil’s peaks

Thousands of rocks sunk in the ground When Titans fell they destroyed this land This colossal collapse shaped this place

We are so small, forced to watch

Nothing we can do will change a thing

But as for every disaster

There’s always hope,

This deadly landslide turned into a lake And through this lake nature awakes
