What a great R&B/hip hop song. Shaprece has this ethereal voice unlike anyone in hip hop, and to have swirling around such beautiful production is a listen that really is a slice of heaven. I love her voice. It has that richness so often missing in music today. Think Nina Simone, Chaka Khan, or Dionne Warwick, with a psychedelic, hip hop beat. Shaprece is that good. The elaborate production never drowns her out; instead, it lifts her up to another plane. And the synths and sitar sound add to the mystery. You can tell that she has listened to Bjork. All these influences come together to make an amazing thing of beauty forever.
