Florence and the Machine – How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful
Well its here! Fans of Florence and the Machine have been waiting for the groups newest release and they did not disappoint! Ceremonials (2011) was a decent commercial success givng the group some pretty popular radio hits including No Light, No Light and Shake It Out. How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful has been gaining traction online and offering two solid singles so far (What Kind of Man & Ship to Wreck).
Florence has been dropping a few singles every couple weeks on Spotify and online to give us a peak of what the newest release would be sounding like. While ‘The Machine’ carries a signature setting in the music they create one can hear the evolution on the album. Never a band to shy away from a full orchestra and several movements in one song, they deliver an opus of inspiration but the influences of arena rockers, folk singers and iconic front women that have shaped this group into the grand opera of indie bands is still present at the heart.
