“Roaring Twenties”
This tremendous song by Gem and Eye swirls in dreamlike proportions, when all of a sudden, the guitars come slamming into the melody and picks up the vocals and carries them to someplace only Donovan would know. I believe Gem and Eye were what Dr. Timothy Leary was listening to in the 60’s. This is a great, dreampop song by a band that seems familiar but really charts into complete new territory. The melodies and the vocals intertwine so beautifully. Listen. Close your eyes. Let your mind wander.
