There is something very retro yet current about London-based artist FREEMAN. His music is delightfully tuneful and, at times, he sounds like he’s challenging Jagger or Bowie, but all the time with this original, timeless quality. “Get Me Started” will remind you of the Stones’ Some Girls, while “Whisky Lady” could be on Brain Capers by Mott the Hoople. All I know, FREEMAN is rock n roll of the best kind. Influenced but not an imitator. Rock is alive.
