Run The Jewels release RTJ3 weeks early–Oh and It’s Killer!

run the jewels 3, el-p, killer mike, hip-hop, rap
EL-P and Killer Mike of Run The Jewels are at it again with their most thought-provoking record yet. A stellar work that trumps their first release and is on par with their second, slightly better even. The pistol and fist duo recruit various artists on this album including BOOTS, Danny Brown, Trina, Joi, and Zack De La Rocha (once again). They lay out hard-hitting lyrics over a percussion-soaked bed that stirs up several emotions in the listener, anger, laughter, sadness, and empowerment.

The 14-track record is filled with political digs, sexual overtones, fame, money, and future warnings. While the lyrics are radical at times they place well with the harsh reality that is our world today. EL-P and Killer Mike poetically address these plagues on all tracks and do so cleverly over enticing futuristic beats. We highly recommend this record and without hesitation give this an A+.
