Stone Cold Fox
The song starts with a pounding drum and bass that immediately garners attention. Then the vocals come in, almost heavenly, above this beat. Stone Cold Fox is comprised of members from California to Maine that could only have met in a music scene like Brooklyn. “January”, the first single from the new CD, Memory Palace, is a pop punk lament of the collapse of the external world and “the escape from the exterior elements and a climax of frustration from internal dialogue”, according to Ariel Loh. Loh also compared the feel of the music as “giving birth”. The pop/punk sound of “January” is one those songs you will listen to again and again. The song speaks for itself. It feels like the longing you get when the world falls apart. The taste is bitter sweet; the sound is heavy and ethereal at the same time. Close your eyes and see the world fade from grey into white. Listen to it, and dare to love it. Memory Palace debuts on May 6, 2014.
