The Ross Sea Party Offer New Single “Two Things” As Free Download To Celebrate Release of Debut LP Hotel Pool
As you probably already guessed, yes, they are named after the heroic wing of Ernest Shackleton’s famed 1914 Trans-Antarctic Expedition. “Two Things” lives up to the adventurous spirit of the band’s namesake, boldly melding folksy, sing-a-long vocal harmonies with seemingly disparate elements such as thunderous drums, glockenspiel flourishes, and slick structural detours that may have you reaching for your compass by the time the chorus kicks back in again. “Two Things” follows on the heels of the strong early single “Thunder,” and both tracks are featured on the band’s debut LP, Hotel Pool, which was released October 16.
