The soft sound of “Hard” by Los Angeles Police Department

When we first saw “Hard” by Los Angeles Police Department we figured we were about to listen to a hardcore gangster rap song, but then we heard the soft, honeyed voiced of Ryan Pollie, who is the man behind LAPD. Pollie sings “And I find it hard to be in love” against echoey, sustained-vocal and the brilliant addition of a synth in the background adding an element that makes this song lush and unique.
