Its been a few years since The Strokes gave us new music (2013 to be exact) and with their new EP “Future Present Past” released June 3rd, the band is back at it again with scratchy, distant vocals and high octane guitar riffs. I loved the band when they came out in the early 2000’s and this new EP is perfect proof as to why we all may have been a bit turned on to what rock music was gaining with The Strokes.”OBLIVIOUS” is a great rock track: simple structure, fun chorus, trippy guitar solo; it’s got it all. The EP as a whole keeps us reminded that the band has kept its signature sound and that they are a timeless rock group that makes catchy rock tunes.
