Odonis Odonis

“Order in the Court”

Hard Boiled Soft Boiled

The use of Hieronymus Bosch’s paintings, those scary, decadent, psychedelic work of the 15th century Dutch painter, is definitely a stroke of genius.  Odonis Odonis’ music, that blend of industrial and no wave, becomes even creepier juxtaposed before Bosch’s images.  Their forthcoming album highlights their unique blend of industrial noiserock and their dreamy, melodic side.  Their live show, where Tzenos (vocals, guitar), Denholm Whale (bass), and Jarod Gibson (drums), is where the band let their diverging influences collide.  Their sound is so unique, a blend of influences like surf, industrial, and old B-Movie horror films, that a new label, “industrial surf-gaze” was coined.  Odonis Odonis might just get the award for the best band of 2014.
