We can’t figure out if Avril Lavigne’s new video for “Hello Kitty” is racist or just plain ridiculous but we’re leaning towards the latter in this over-produced mess of a song/video.
Avril Lavigne skyrocketed into stardom with the single “Complicated”; It was clean, catchy, simple and AVRIL. The once rebellious punk meets skater girl has now succumb to EDM beats matched with poorly constructed choruses and even worse lyrics. But it’s not the song that makes this video rubbish, it’s the subtle racism, horrendous decor and emotionless dance moves that really make “Hello Kitty” a mess. Let us know what YOU think.
