The Way Down Wanderers

This is the most interesting band I have heard for a long time.  Austin Thomspon and Collin Krause, who play mandolin, violin, and guitar (dubbed ‘baby Dylan’ and ‘baby Neil Young’) are from Peoria.  The rest of the band (John Williams/bass, vocals; Travis Kowalsky/banjo, and Johm Merikoski/drums and percussion) followed later.  All together, they make the most interesting blend of old time bluegrass/folk with a touch of DIY punk and attitude.  This is a tremendous album. The album is set to drop on July 15, and they will be going on tour.  My prayer is, they stop in Pittsburgh.  Come on, guys, make my summer.
